Playground Inspection

A good starting point in planning a new playground is always an inspection of your current playground and playground equipment. At no charge or obligation, Island Recreation will perform a 65-point inspection of your current playground done by a nationally certified professional playground inspector.

Site Evaluation

If you are not sure where you want to put your playground, orientate yourplayground equipment,or have general questions regarding local and national standards and codes, a site evaluation by one of our trained professionals will be very helpful and informative. Trust us when we say that there is a little more to selecting a site for you playground than you might think. We will help you address issues such as ADA access, supervision site lines, etc.

Design Day

Once you have your area mapped out, the next step is to gather input for your playground and playground equipment design. We will meet with your committee and/or children and help you put together a "wish list" for your playground. Our design day process was recognized by the State of Hawaii as a standard for community-built projects and it makes everyone feel like they are included in the decision-making process.

2-D CAD Service

Our design team will take your wish list of playground components and produce a professional scaled drawing of your concept idea. This is very helpful in helping groups see how their ideas actually fit into their area. Often at this point some revisions are needed. Once the playground equipment is finalized, our team will do a final design for you that shows your playground placed into your unique site.

Now that all your ideas are on paper we can help you see them in living color. With your input on color and desired perspective, we will produce a 3-D drawing for you to display, use for fundraising, or present to your school or community.

Installation Supervision

If you do not choose to contract a "turn-key"project with us, we will provide you with assistance in the organization and installation of your project using your resources and manpower. This service is performed on a fee basis but often can reduce your overall project cost by up to 25%.
